Class A Near Pittsburgh

Hey All,

Just moved from Lansdale across state to Pittsburgh. i have looked on the PFBC website, as well as the GPS Fishing guide app that was advertised on this website, and have identified some Class A streams with in a 90 min drive of downtown. I was just wondering if any one would be kind enough to PM me with some more general info about some of these streams. Thanks in advance!

I've got some class A chub streams close to Pittsburgh I wouldn't mind sharing....



It's a rough spot of the state for trout. Either the area around the Yough, or the Allegheny National Forest is your best bet for natural reproduction.

There's a few gems here and there though so don't be too discouraged.... plus there's steelhead coming real soon. Gotta check that out.
