Motion vs No Motion on Web Pages

One of the things I really like about paflyfish.com is that there is no "squirmage" on the web pages.

"Squirmage" is just my term for things that move on web pages.

My preference is for NO squirmage. Absolutely none. Nothing should ever move, unless it's a video that the user CHOOSES to click on or off.

Because paflyfish.com web pages are calm, i.e. not squirming, the user can easily read the content without infuriating distractions.
