This was a great fish pic, from down in mexico...

The first time you see line screaming off your 8 wt, then find out it was just a 12-inch Bonefish, you'll be addicted. I love fly fishing for trout, but saltwater is a whole different experience.
One of the biggest reasons I am not interested in it is that I hate hot sunny weather.

Yup. The sun can be tough. But lots of options for pants/shirts/hats that keep it off and actually keep you cool. As for the heat, that's why the guides I've fished with have plenty of cold beer in the cooler.😆

I am generally not a fan of summer humidity. That said, I will take the Caribbean weather over the current dreary February weather conditions we have!

We are doing a family spring break trip in mid-March to Antigua. I have been searching the internet for fly fishing information, mostly to no avail. Regardless, I am going to be taking my 8wt, a floating line and an intermediate line, some saltwater flies, and will see what I can get into.

If you know how to dig around on the Internet, you can get info about just about any fishing spot. In a couple of minutes of searching I found some good info for you about FFing in Antigua >

There is plenty of great fly fishing on Antigua, both from a boat and from shore. If you have access to a boat, down south Falmouth and English harbour fish well. Yes even with all the boat traffic! Look out for big balls of bait in amongst the boats, tarpon and jacks are normally harassing them. To the east of English harbour and before Mamora bay is another little inlet/bay. I've had some great afternoons in there with tarpon rolling all around me. Snook along the mangrove edges. Plenty of other fishy spots, these were close to where I was working so fished them often.
If shore bound, try the road from St Johns down past Jolly harbour towards Ffryers bay and Picarts bay. The road run just of the beach, lookout for pelicans working bait. I caught a couple of tarpon and a variety of jacks of the beach doing this! All in all I think it's a great spot and not very well know for its flats fishing, so many more places I would have loved to fish.

Good luck on your trip. Post pics and a report.
