Went to our local DHALO area Wednesday night to do some mousing, the more I looked at that mouse fly the bigger it got and the smaller the trout looked so I opted for a big moth fly, this thing pushes a lot of water, only put one in the net but had 2 others on,can't wait to do some real mousing when water levels come down up north

Went again last night caught a small rainbow on a fairly large black and rust colored Wooley bugger I was dragging across the smooth shale creek bed real slow

I’ve been trying my luck at mousing over the past two years mostly on spring creeks but the thing I’ve noticed the most is a constant movement with the v trail. I notice more takes on a mouse that’s moving and not so much taking it slow out of the water. Just my two sense hopefully it helps!
