One year up in Sullivan county, SGL 13, I walked up on one that was chewing on a wooden bridge railing on the Game Lands road. That thing let me get within a couple feet of him before he decided to walk off.
Echo Ion
Its the first upgrade I had from the el cheapo pflueger combo I bought at ****s. I went to a local fly shop and got a Redington Path with the Echo Ion. This was roughly 2010. They both are delegated to backup duty now or when my wife fishes with me she uses them, but they are both good pieces of equipment that held up well over the years, caught a bunch of fish thats for sure.Well it looks nice all dinged up like that. It’s like a new pair of boots IMO. They look their worst the day you buy them.
How did this repair go for you?Howdy folks,
I was getting my rods ready to go for tomorrow and when I went to put the reel on my Gatti rod, the metal piece on the bottom decided it didn’t want to be there anymore… I’m not the original owner of this rod, so warranty is out of the question. How would you go about reattaching this?

If he is anything like me he did all the research, ordered the recommended supplies, got everything he needed, then promptly put it all on a shelf somewhere unfinished where it will sit for 4 years. How did this repair go for you?
Sounds like half my projects 😆If he is anything like me he did all the research, ordered the recommended supplies, got everything he needed, then promptly put it all on a shelf somewhere unfinished where it will sit for 4 years.
I wish it were only half.🤦♂️Sounds like half my projects 😆
I'd say it was a success! I ended up using JB Weld to reattach the reel seat. Used the rod a handful of times since with zero issues. How did this repair go for you?
