Anybody been to spring creek lately?

I'm heading out tomorrow evening, will hit it sat and sun mornings. Sat afternoon, on my way back from spring, will stop at the grange fair to stop at one stand. They make homemade pierogi, halushki, halupki, etc. I do this every year. Plus sitting around a campfire both nights. plus great weather. Good stuff...

Also, anybody going to be around?

What you dutchies call halupkis were referred to as "pigs in a blanket" by my yinzer Slovak/Polock family. When I moved over to the dark side of the state I was so weirded out when I ordered pigs in a blanket somewhere and got little hot dogs wrapped in dough.

John, have fun and enjoyed the Halupki. "Pigs in a blanket" is just a vulgar way of referencing the glorious Slovakian creation. If that's how you requested it, Pat, then you deserved a helping of vienna sausages wrapped in pilsbury dough.

I grew up in a dutchie family and we didn't refer to ANYTHING as halupkies.

My parents didn't allow that kind of language. 🙂

Lol.....my grandmother came over from the Ukraine, she made awesome food, first tIme I had halupkies I got sick from eating too many. They were awesome.

Regarding Spring Creek, I took a walk along the stream near dusk and the flow levels look fine. I saw a lot of flying ants, so you might want to tie some of those.

It was an ant that produced my best fish last Sunday. Also saw various "other ' terresterials. Trico brought up a fair number of fish, but those which ate my fly were smallish.

I think most of Delta's fish were on an ant and chartreuse inch worm. My bluegill came on a beetle. 🙂 I did catch a trout and it came on Delta's inch worm.
