Brookies in Kettle - Stocked or Wild?

The presence of par marks-as far as I understand it-is also not an indicator of wild or stocked, but more-so an indicator of age?
I agree, their presence is age related. They seem to disapear as the fish gets bigger. Don't really know if stocked trout have them, or not.
The person I was with told me they were privately stocked as well.
This is why I believe stocking by any club/organization should be monitored and made to get a permit, so the Comm knows what's being put in our streams.

I'm 99% sure that the sportsmen clubs are not allowed to stock brook trout on Kettle Creek. This stopped maybe 2 years ago. The PFBC never stocks brook trout in Kettle.

They no longer stock kettle, and also no longer raise brook trout as a result testing positive for gill lice several years back.
Working with TU back in 2021 for a summer, gill lice were pretty prominent in the wild brookies in the Kettle Creek watershed, unfortunately. The fish still seemed to be healthy but definitely can't be a good thing for them.
