Spotted my first one today below Holtwood, i knew the dam was keeping them from going up river, but never expected to see one in my lifetime. Was schooling a fry ball, so more will be on the way this year.
Rest assured that while some will kill them some will also transplant them above the dam. Consider them established in the river above the dam. Sad but true. They caught a ton of them at Conowingo fish ladder trap or whatever this year i was reading the other day. Hopefully people are doing the right thing and removing them when caught. I know some guys on the Delaware just above trenton are doing their part

Fly Fishing for Snakeheads Double Digit Mayhem Vol 1
They look so awesome! I want to to fish for them this year, but where, how? There are no snakeheads in South Central, PA, I'm aware of right now.Found some in the Perky!View attachment 1641242483View attachment 1641242484View attachment 1641242485
I assume you caught them below the dam? I guess either way it won’t be long till they’re up my way near Schwenksville. When I started catching them in the Potomac river years ago. I never imagined they would spread to a creek near me. Not sure how good or bad it is? I guess depends how you look at it. Thanks for the info.Found some in the Perky!View attachment 1641242483View attachment 1641242484View attachment 1641242485
