Magnifiers

I'm looking for suggestions for magnifiers to aid me in tying tie on my flies. My old glasses were good enough up until this year, but I'm struggling in ow light. Is there anything beyond the kind that flip down from your hat brim? Thanks
Like you it’s only at dusk that my progressive lenses aren’t adequate. Tried hat mounted magnifiers but found getting the focal length right was difficult. Eyeglass mount magnifiers were too heavy until I reshaped them on my 1x30” belt sander. Helps if you cut away large sections first. You’ll find you only need a very small lens size, even smaller than these.

I’ve been using those with metal hardware, but those with plastic hardware are lighter though less durable.

I've used Flip Focals, but after a while they won't stay up. They keep falling down in front of your face.

Is there any way to fix them so they stay up?

Or is there another brand of cap magnifiers that don't have that problem?

Unfortunately the company went out of business, but you may still be able to find a retailer that has some inventory of Hat Eyes.

They are made out of stainless steel with adjustable tension, replaceable lenses and they are 1000 times better than Flip Focals.

You can give the rivet / pivot point a careful squeeze w/ pliers. I try to seat the pliers on the rivet and squeeze them incrementally harder, testing the flip tension between squeezes.
