If Im remembering correctly, I bought these boots in February ‘23 and they’ve been heinously underused this spring. After the first few wears I noticed that the toe trim was peeling, much to my disappointment, but an easy maintenance fix.
Now, the boots are blowing out at the sides and a sole is peeling, too. I tried to apply some shoe goo to no avail. The boots feel as if they’ve only just broken in. Versus the wear on the rest of the boot, this seems extremely premature to be falling apart like this. Does anyone have any experience with orvis honoring repair/warranty service for something like this? Should I just take them to a cobbler? I’ve babied these things & always let them dry gently between uses and I’m extremely disappointed in this. $50 frog toggs boots lasted me significantly longer with a TON of abuse.
