Was on a missing link kick the other day, decided to tie up some of Galloup's found links as well. Same turkey biot I tie the cinnamon toast crunch nymphs with. Hopefully a decent baetis imitation. Sz 16 in pic (ignore the sz 14 hook box):

Nicely tied. I really like that pattern, but they’re a bit harder to tie than many patterns.

Here’s one that has done very well for me in the past on Grannoms. I like your idea of using biots for the body which I bet you could change colors as needed to imitate other insects too.

Thats a great tie brother, love the look and bugginess w/ the link style. From what I can tell The Slide Inn does utilize different color biot to imitate different bugs. Off the top of my head they use a grey biot for their baetis version. Olive was all I had laying around =D

EP Fiber with a foam strip wrapped underbody

Did really well this week with a version of this that I tied. Had trouble keeping it floating after a fish or two, so I wrapped a thin strip of foam around the hook to hopefully add some buoyancy. Not sure if it will help or not, but gotta give it a try.

My first ever fly, did my own take on a wooly bugger.. not even sure if I used the right material. The head is a mess, but we will see if it catches fish. You can roast me all you want.

Ever watch tightlinevideo, Tim Flagler’s channel? He has a wealth of tutorials. Likewise, I really enjoy the artistry and instruction quality of Barry Ord Clarke (featherbender) and David McPhail.

Some experiments wrapping 1mm round foam onto a size 18 4x streamer, with hackle and a green thread wrap head. They’re *almost* neutrally buoyant, sinking at maybe 1” per second after surface tension breaks.
