Story time: My D.C.L.O.C. buddies and I were out night fishing at the local fishing hole and I was testing out one of my friends 5.5ft 3wt spinning rod and 2nd cast as soon as my spinner hit the water there was resistance. As the guys were asking me if I had a fish on, I kept quiet still not sure what I had on but I knew it wasn't a small thing whatever it was.about 2 mins later of fighting the drag and the fish, I got it near shore and they were curious so they put a light on it. This was minimum 2 foot tiger musky. Once he got hit with the light he spit my lure.
Im very concerned about this. This is killing me. What could I have done differently to land that thing?
