WV brook trout restoration

I forgot what a shockingly long list that is.
It is a long list, and many of the streams are wild trout streams, including native brook trout.

Also, this is not a full list of streams being stocked by clubs. It is only the list of cooperative nurseries. There are other clubs who are stocking streams that are not cooperative nurseries.

I noticed 2 streams that are brook trout streams of larger than average size that were not stocked when I first fished them, but are now stocked by clubs, but they are not on this list.

I bet one of those streams is in Clearfield and has been added to the PFBC stocking program this year.

YAY! Not

If other clubs are stocking, does the PFBC still need to approve? Are they supposed to post a notice of stocking?

This is where my initial line of questioning was going… it is disappointingly hard to know the true magnitude of stocking which occurs over wild trout.

One small step for brook trout. A giant leap for fishkind!
