Trout stamp

This is why we all buy the trout stamp. We then feel entitled to decide the fate of any trout we deem unworthy. lol
I think as long as you aren’t wasting the nutrients and biomass into a landfill. (You Brutes) I think it is beneficial to have some harvest. Maybe not brookies. But if Bamboozle removes brookies and it makes the creek better, I believe him. If Cznymph removes browns and thinks that helps. I believe him. I think there is too many environmentally unique circumstances to make a blanket statement about stocking or keeping fish and it’s broader implications. But buying a trout stamp gives you access to make these choices individually and practice what you think is right.

Please enlighten me where I disputed the legality of what I posted...

In regards to lightening up, you cult members are easy and fun to rankle... 😉
Sure, months ago, the first time you had a fit over my fertilizer.

In all fairness, I wasn't the one in a sword fight or a sword measuring contest over which species to bank 😂

Absolutely, and that isn't new news. I would question everything the author uses as a talking point though. He has shown no issue spinning information to suit his agenda in the past.

I'm just curious to your thoughts on John Arway himself commenting on this article and giving credence to the authors talking points.

Is it required to buy an annual PA trout stamp if you only fish for wild trout? Please explain why if it is required.
Well I happen to only fish for bass on Class A streams. Why do I need a Trout Stanp?

I don't disagree that the PFBC and it's stocking program needs to be managed more efficiently. All my postings in this thread are from a standpoint that I understand WHY they treat the stocking program the way they do, not that I agree with it.

The author of the article makes good points. I told him when he posted here that I agree with his message but not the extremist style tactics he uses to convey it. All I am saying is don't get upset at his talking points without doing some research first. He might be right, or he might be making a mountain out of a mole hill. I don’t know and have always meant to look into the details of the money in question used for this project but haven't made the time to sit down and do it yet.

All I know is that talking about school taxes in relation to this is probably a waste of time as these funds likely have nothing to do with that. Maybe this money was earmarked for some kind of infrastructure project and they wrote a grant for it. Happens all the time and is not PFCBs fault they applied for money that was being offered. Again, I am just shooting at the hip, I don’t have facts.

Capital Funds have been used, can be used and are still used to aid in funding school building projects.

I see irony in class C & D bridges, are having trout raised and then stocked under them with monies meant to repair them.

Anyways, I find it humorous the Ex Executive Director said he isn't far from the truth, notwithstanding any perceived tactics or agenda, truth is truth.

Also ironically I found an article J Arway has been quoted as saying trout stocking does not increase license sales, no matter how much it is claimed by the agency, which is pretty obvious by the main user bases usage of the resource.
