Taged rainbow

Caught this little bow on Honey Creek today. It had an orange tag in it with a number. Any idea why?

This. Probably was a bonus fish of some kind. Catch it, win a prize or an entry into a raffle type of deal. Water was super high and blown out that weekend (Jam weekend) and I don’t imagine many of the fish they stocked for that got caught. Hence, leftovers. A little weird it went up Honey though.

It just had 4 numbers on it, no phone number.

I would wager everything I own that it's from the tournament on Kish. That tournament has been happening for a long time.

Lots of rainbows make their way up Honey. They get pretty hefty and colorful after a while. Caught 3 on crayfish pattern today, unfortunately no browns that I was looking for.
